It seems my own paranoia is rubbing off on my characters. I promise I will try and make Malgera a bit more trusting that Dragvit. Even though this will likely lead to a bit of fun.

Wait, so Malgera (Melgara?) was talking sotto voce to Rafe, and simply ignored Sebastian's question(""This bedine you're looking for.. what does he look like?")? If that's so, he wouldn't have replied to her reply.

Oh, I see, you referred to Sebastian and Sandy as 'those other overheard patrons', right. You didn't overhear sebastian. He was talking directly to Malgera. And since he is nowhere near drunk enough to have a conversation with someone ignoring him, i'll retcon that last post I made into being slightly miffed that the dwarf is ignoring him, but being too young and uncertain to do anything about it.

EDIT: Well, i'm not super happy with it, but the edit is in. You can probably remove that awkward line about sitting too close to the public tables now.

She wants to talk to the patrons who might have info one by one as opposed to making her intents clear for all. Thus, while she did not ignore Sebastian completely, Malgera did not go and speak to him as of yet.

And it's Malgera. I wanted an obviously evil name, for the PC who is obviously not evil.

Icedaemon: Yes, I misunderstood your post. You were talking to Rafe, and I thought you were replying to Sebastian. I've edited my post on page 5 to reflect that.

Mine has been edited as well. I am keeping most of the paragraph, since the addition of the dwarf having a slight tidbit of trouble with peasants who thought they could take such elites both provides a handy reason for her to be paranoid now without giving me any reason to make paranoia one of her traits, while at the same time adding a little story. And characters at level seven, seasoned veterans on their way to becoming full-blown legends, are supposed to have plenty of stories.

I mean, with the obvious exception of when someone uses a race with a big ECL modifier and/or racial hit dice.
